XII TRANSITORY AND FINAL PROVISIONS

Article 78

The Union of Engineers and Technicians of Serbia has foundations of its origins, tradition, work and operation, and it is the only owner and a legal successor of the scope of activities and accomplished achievements, of real and movable assets and other values, in continuity of:

The Union of Engineers and Technicians of Serbia has established the 3rd of February as "Day of Engineers and Technicians", the day of establishment of first "Technicians' Society" in Serbia (3. February1968) and that day is specially and traditionally marked every year.
In 1892, Nikola Tesla became an Honorable Member of our Union.

Article 79

The UETS has its movable and immovable property, used in accordance with the principles of good management.  

The immovable property of UETS was acquired building two Houses of Engineers in Belgrade, and in a form of legacy in Nis and Novi Sad in period between the two World wars.

House of Engineers in 7, Kneza Milosa str was built between 1932 and 1935, while the House of Engineers “Nikola Tesla” was built between 1965 and 1969. Both Houses of Engineers were built by providing funds from UETS revenues, gifts, donations of members, physical and legal entities and credits paid off by the Union. Buildings in Nis and Novi Sad  are used by UETS members, while the buildings in Belgrade are used by UETS in capacity as owner  in accordance with the decisions of UETS organs and other users such as UETS members and lessees. Article 80
This Statute shall come into force at the day of its adoption and shall be implemented immediately regarding the questions of internal organization, election of members of organs and leadership and their work and other UETS activities, except those connected with process of registrations and other contents limited by the provisions of the Law on Associations of citizens which shall be implemented from the day of authorization of the Statute in accordance with Law.

Article 81
The UETS general acts, which are not contrary to the provisions of Statute, shall remain in force and the other shall be harmonized with this Statute in the term of six months from the day of their adoption.

Article 82
The UETS members are due and obliged to harmonize their Statutes and other general acts with the Law on Associations of Citizens and UETS Statute in the term of 16 months from the day of this Statute coming into force, and to advise the UETS on this.
If Member does not act in accordance with the first premise of this article its capacity of membership will be terminated and the member shall lose all the acquired rights.

Article 83
This Statute shall be distribute to all UETS members, to members of UETS Organs, published in the UETS publication and can be found on the UETS Web site.

Article 84

This Statute of the Union of Engineers and Technicians of Serbia, harmonized with the provisions of the Law on Associations of Citizens, is adopted on UETS Assembly session hold on October 29, 2009, in Belgrade, 7 Kneza Milosa str, Vracar, and with its adoption Satute of the Union of Engineers and Technicians of Serbia, adopted on February 3, 2006. shall not be of further effect.
