FIRST CONGRESS OF ENGINEERS OF SERBIA

Union of Engineers of Serbia, professional organization of the engineers in the Republic of Serbia,  will be celebrating on 31.01-01.02.2008, 140 years of its existence and successful work. On this occasion the First Congress of Engineers of Serbia is to be held.

The Congress will be held under the auspice of SANU - Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. President of SANU, Academician prof. dr Nikola Hajdin, will officially open the Congress. January 31st, the First day of the Congress will be dedicated to a different themes of interest to engineers, with lectures of prominent experts in the various areas of work:

• Academician prof. dr Milan Lojanica
• Prof. dr Branko Kovačević, Rector of the University of Belgrade
• Mr Philippe Wauters, Secretary General FEANI
• Mr Miloš Bugarin, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce
• Prof. dr Branislav Todorović, President of the Association KGH
• Prof. dr Radomir Folić, President of the Engineering Academy

Second day of Congress will be dedicated to questions connected with internal organization and functioning of the organization and statutory questions. On occasion of great jubilee, special awards will be presented, to individuals and organizations who have given the greatest contribution to development and strenghtening of engineering organization of Serbia.
